Products

What kind of leather does Oak Buck use?

We use full-grain, vegetable-tanned English bridle leather, a material originally developed for bridles and other equestrian tack where strength, reliability, and flexibility mattered. Its dense fiber structure and finish of oils and waxes create a smooth surface, rich color, and firm temper that holds its shape. Rather than hiding the grain beneath heavy correction, it preserves the hide’s natural character and develops a deeper sheen and patina with use. We choose it because it gives a wallet structure, durability, and character that softer fashion leathers may not provide.

Which products are part of The First Mark?

The First Mark begins with OB-01, our vertical wallet, alongside the traditional bifold, minimalist card wallet, and Apple Watch band. Product details and availability are presented in the collection as each small batch is released.

Will every piece look exactly the same?

No. Natural grain, tone, and markings vary slightly from hide to hide. These differences are part of working with genuine full-grain leather.

Leather care

How often should I condition the leather?

Only when it begins to feel dry. Climate and use vary, so condition based on the leather rather than a fixed schedule. Apply sparingly and test in a discreet area first.

What should I do if the leather gets wet?

Blot excess moisture gently, reshape if needed, and allow it to air-dry naturally. Avoid hair dryers, radiators, and direct heat.

Are scratches and color changes normal?

Yes. Full-grain leather naturally develops marks, softening, and shifts in tone. Visit the Care Guide for more information.
